What Counts as an Industrial Panel PC at Levinko
An industrial panel pc combines a touch display, a computing platform, and I/O in a single enclosure intended for continuous operation. We manufacture these units as part of a broader product range that also includes wall-mounted tablets and panels, POS hardware, digital signage and commercial displays, self-service kiosks, industrial touch panel PCs, and computing modules and mainboards.
We are an OEM/ODM manufacturer, not a catalog reseller. That means the panel PC you receive is configured to your project: the LCD, the touch layer, the mainboard, the mounting method, and the interface set are all specified during the quoting process. Rapid prototyping runs in 3–5 days, and OEM/ODM customization covers housing, branding, and peripheral integration evaluated per project.
Computing Platforms and Software Integration
Our hardware natively supports Android, Windows, and Linux. The platform choice typically follows your software stack rather than the other way around:
- Android suits kiosk-style applications, self-order terminals, and lightweight UI deployments where remote management matters more than local processing power.
- Windows fits integrators running established desktop applications, device management suites, or software that depends on Windows-specific drivers and APIs.
- Linux is the usual choice for custom embedded builds where you control the full software image and want a minimal footprint.
Whichever platform you select, we provide an open API/SDK for software integration. Integrators use it to control display behavior, read peripheral inputs, and manage device state from their own application layer. If your team needs the SDK documentation before committing to a configuration, request it during the evaluation stage — it is part of the standard engineering handoff.
Interfaces, Power, and Peripheral Support
Our panel PCs are built around the interfaces industrial projects actually use. Verified configurations include:
- PoE power — single-cable power and data where the network infrastructure supports it, reducing wiring runs to ceiling- or wall-mounted units.
- NFC/RFID reading — for access control, identity verification, asset tracking, and authenticated operator sessions.
- RS485 industrial control — for connecting to PLCs, sensors, controllers, and legacy equipment on the factory or facility floor.
Additional I/O is specified per project during ODM configuration. If your deployment requires a particular combination of serial, USB, Ethernet, or GPIO, raise it at the requirements stage; the mainboard and connector layout are selected to match, not adapted after the fact.
Installation and Mounting
Panel PCs in industrial environments are rarely placed on a desk. Common mounting approaches include wall mount, panel (flush) mount, and enclosure integration. The correct choice depends on three questions:
- Where does the unit sit relative to the operator? Viewing angle and touch access drive display and enclosure selection.
- How is power and data routed? PoE simplifies this considerably; otherwise, cable entry points must be planned into the enclosure.
- What is the surrounding structure? Concrete, metal paneling, and machine housings each require different fastening and cutout tolerances.
Mounting hardware, cutout dimensions, and cable management are specified per project to fit your installation plan rather than forcing your plan around a fixed product.
Display Quality and Reliability Testing
We use A-grade LCD panels across our industrial touch panel PCs. Panel grade affects uniform brightness, dead-pixel rates, and long-term stability — all of which matter when a unit runs continuously in a public or production environment.
Before shipment, every unit undergoes a mandatory 24-hour continuous aging (burn-in) test. This is not a sample-based check. The purpose is to surface early-life failures at the factory instead of at your customer's site, which matters when your team is deploying across multiple locations and cannot afford repeat service visits.
Environment and Application Boundaries
Industrial panel PCs are specified for environments where consumer tablets fail: continuous operation, fixed installation, and integration with external equipment. Within the configurations described above, they suit:
- Production and facility-floor terminals connected to controllers via RS485
- Access-controlled operator stations using NFC/RFID authentication
- Self-order and payment kiosks in commercial environments
- Digital signage and commercial displays requiring a computing layer
- Wall-mounted control panels in building and equipment management systems
Application boundaries. We manufacture commercial and industrial touch hardware; we do not claim compliance with specialized standards we have not verified for your specific project. Environmental specifications such as operating temperature range, ingress protection, and vibration tolerance are configuration-dependent and are confirmed in writing per project. Certificates are available upon request. If your deployment involves hazardous areas, medical certification, or military specifications, state this at the requirements stage so we can tell you directly whether we can meet it.
Working With Levinko
Our customers are mainly SaaS companies and system integrators — teams that own the software and need a manufacturing partner for the hardware. The typical engagement runs from requirements and prototyping (3–5 days) through configuration, validation, and volume production.
To start a project, send your requirements to info@levinko.com or call +86-139 0297 9061. Useful information to include: target platform (Android, Windows, or Linux), mounting method, required peripherals (PoE, NFC/RFID, RS485), deployment region, and expected volumes. With those details, we can propose a configuration and a prototyping timeline.
